Ship's Biscuits

INGREDIENTS
2 cups plain flour
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 cup water

RECIPE
1. Preheat your oven to 200°C.
2. In a bowl, mix the flour and salt together.
3. Slowly add the water while stirring until a stiff dough forms. Add extra water if the dough is too dry. The dough should be firm, not sticky.
4. Knead the dough for about 3–5 minutes until smooth.
5. Roll the dough out to about 1 cm thick.
6. Cut into squares or rectangles using a knife.
7. Use a skewer to poke several holes in each biscuit. This helps them bake evenly and keeps them from puffing up.
8. Place on a baking tray and bake for 30 minutes, then flip the biscuits and bake for another 30 minutes.
9. Turn the oven off and leave the biscuits inside as the oven cools to dry them out further.
